Communication "an act or instance of transmitting," "information transmitted; a
verbal or written message." "A process by which information is
exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs,
or behavior." (Merriam-Webster)
For unknown reason(s), we seem to have the most innovative way of communication in Jordan. We don't know how it was created or even by who, however we are using it extensively...
I know, your next question is "what is this method of communication?"
It is actually the "No Communication" method. Next one is "I know it and so they should."
In both methods, our people don't use any verbal or written communication at all. They only rely on transferring their ideas through wireless waves (no need for a wireless router or so) to other people's brains. I need to admit, this is genius thinking yet not achievable. So why? This is all due to lack of professionalism we all have.
I worked with different teams, still most of them have the same way of thinking... "This is not what I wanted to say!" "I meant this & that." Guess what, only you who knew what you wanted to say, since you haven't communicated this to anyone then no one would know it at all. I always say "if the idea is in your head, then you need to express it in one way or another so people would know what you want." If you didn't express your ideas, suggestions or concerns, then no one would know what you want or think of. Let it out (I mean the idea) and deliver the message in a way that people would understand what you want to deliver exactly as you want it.
Next, comes "checking understanding." And this happens by checking understanding from involved parties to guarantee the proper delivery of your message. God forbid you couldn't do this extra exhausting step, you could have delivered 0% to 90% of your desired message (check understanding to know exactly what you delivered).
So, what do I recommend?

So, what do I recommend?
- Chose the proper and most suitable method to deliver your message, define if verbal or written and then chose the proper method; direct contact, email, text message, phone call, ... etc.
- Type of message will determine the method of communication
- Check understanding by asking receiver to paraphrase
- If your message is not delivered properly, then chose another method
